STREUSELED BLUEBERRIES 6 cups frozen blueberries 1 Tbsp lemon juice 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar ½ cup all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp salt 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/4 cup butter or margarine whipping cream
Please blueberries in a buttered, shallow 1 ½ to 2 quart baking dish or pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Mix sugar, flour, salt and nutmeg together, then cut in the butter coarsely. Rub mixture between fingers until butter particles are indistinguishable. Sprinkle evenly over berries. Bake at 400 deg. F for 20 minutes or until topping looks crisp and browned. |
